Ingredients
Large package of pork country style ribs
12ozcan of Cherry Dr PepperCherry Pepsi will also work
Jeff's original rub
Jeff's original barbecue sauce
Instructions
Put the country style ribs in a foil pan
Spray the top of the ribs with Cherry Dr Pepper.
Generously sprinkle the original rub on the top of the meat.
Turn the meat ¼ turn and repeat the Dr Pepper and rub.
Repeat the process 2 more times so that all 4 sides of the country style ribs are coated with rub.
Set up the smoker for cooking at about 240°F with indirect heat.
Place the meat directly on the smoker grate and close the lid/door.
Let the meat smoke with mesquite or hickory wood for about 1 hour.
If you have the ability to crank up the heat on the smoker, take it up to about 275 and let the country style ribs cook until they reach an internal temperature of 185°F.
Mix equal parts Cherry Dr Pepper with Jeff's original barbecue sauce and stir well to combine.
Brush the sauce onto the ribs and leave them for about 10 minutes to let the sauce caramelize.
Remove the meat from the smoker and serve immediately.
