THE SMOKING-MEAT.COM COOK PLANNER
A good cook starts with a plan.
Pick your serving time, tell me how long you want to allow for each part of the cook, and I’ll work backward to put your schedule together.
You bring the estimates.
I’ll do the math.
From getting the smoker ready to carving the meat, see the whole cook laid out with clear dates and times.
When are we eating?
Use the estimates from your recipe or your own experience. This planner organizes the time you allow, without guessing how long your meat will take to cook.
Your suggested cooking start
The meat gets the final say: this schedule uses your estimates, so it cannot guarantee when the food will be done. Follow the cooking and food safety guidance for your cut, and monitor the actual food temperature during an extended warm hold. A scheduled rest is not permission to leave food at room temperature for that entire time.
